Underground Utility Surveying

For underground utility surveys, we employ the following methods and technologies:

• Detection Tools: Radiodetection RD8200 CAT scanner and Proceq GS8000 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to locate utilities.
• Statutory Records: Obtain and trace known cable and pipe routes, marking them on the ground with colour-coded paint based on utility type.
• Surveying: Once routes are located, they are surveyed using a total station, GPS, or drone and overlaid onto existing topographical surveys or OS backgrounds.
• Reporting: Provide a detailed utility survey report, including statutory records collated from service providers if required.

All surveys adhere to BSI PAS128 and The Survey Association (TSA) best practice guidelines.
