HYDRONE RCV
The HyDrone RCV is a remote-controlled survey vessel designed for bathymetric surveys in water bodies like canals, reservoirs, rivers, and lochs. By pairing with the HydroLite-TM single beam echosounder, the vessel is capable of accurately measuring water depth and underwater topography.
One of the key components of this system is the integration with Trimble R12i GNSS receivers, which are used to provide highly accurate positioning data. The GNSS receivers pair with the echosounder via Bluetooth, allowing depth data to be linked to Ordnance Survey (OS) coordinates. This enables the team to accurately map the surface and produce Digital Surface Models (DSM) and volume calculations with precision.
This combination of technologies makes the HyDrone RCV an efficient and reliable tool for hydrographic surveys, enabling high-quality data collection for applications such as flood risk assessment, dredging, and environmental monitoring.
